Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! A day to enjoy family and good food. Today I’ll be baking the day away while the kids enjoy friends over. 4 kids + friends = a lot of kids! So I’ll probably be baking double, snacks plus Thanksgiving 🙂
Have I told you my husband is a teacher? Which is pretty good, because he does have lots of time off. However, I am married to a music teacher. Don’t understand the difference? Neither did I years ago. Music teachers do stuff. Like marching band, music festivals, and concerts. Every single one of those extras are on nights and weekends. And being in New England, that includes high school football on Thanksgiving.
My husband spends half of every Thanksgiving working. Now, I realize some people have to work. But unless you are saving people from burning buildings or putting them back together after a car wreck, you should be home. I’m sorry, but high school football doesn’t make the cut.
Of course I always save him some of the dinner, but desserts? I can’t promise anything.
I apologize for the griping, I really am thankful this Thanksgiving. Especially for my husband, who works so hard even on holidays.
