Last month I introduced you all to the Hood Cream E-Cookbook. The E-Cookbook is full of mouthwatering recipes. I couldn’t decide what recipe to make first, because I wanted to try them all. I eventually chose to make the creme caramel, but that disappeared before I could even get my camera out! So I asked the kids to decide what to make next, and they picked the spinach and artichoke dip. We all love anything dip related 🙂
They certainly made a great choice. This recipe was developed for Hood by Chef Chris Coombs. Chef Coombs owns several restaurants in the Boston area, and this dish is definitely restaurant quality! I thought it was very simple to make, which is the key to all the recipes in the E-Cookbook. Delicious chef created meals you can easily make at home. I served it with some toasted baguette slices, but pita chips would make a great choice as well. Full of melted cheese and cream with the spinach and artichokes, it was rich, creamy and delicious. Exactly the sort of indulgence that is required this time of year.
Have you started your holiday menu planning? I can’t believe it is November and Thanksgiving is just three weeks away! I think my favorite part of holiday meals is the planning. I love spending time looking through cookbooks, like Hood’s E-Cookbook, thinking about what to make and debating over the choices. I’m a huge appetizer and dessert fan, in fact I would be happy enough just to snack on them and forget the main meal 🙂
