A rich dark peanut butter hot fudge sauce, made with natural peanut butter and without corn syrup. Perfect to drizzle over ice cream.
Okay, so I know I mentioned that ice cream isn’t my favorite dessert. But I am all about the chocolate toppings. Warm only please, none of that cold chocolate syrup for me. Pour some of that hot fudge goodness over ice cream and I’ll choose it every day.
But my husband is obsessed with peanut butter. I’m pretty sure he would eat it at every meal if that was an option. (Hmm, why isn’t that an option?) I don’t think he has ever requested a dessert that didn’t include peanut butter in some form.
A chocolate peanut butter sauce sounded like a marriage made in heaven (pun intended). We are both happy with this warm peanut buttery hot fudge sauce.
And guess what? You can use all natural peanut butter. I was able to get it smooth using my immersion blender. It may still have a bit of texture to it, but that’s a small sacrifice to make for keeping the ingredients simple and natural. I also skipped the corn syrup found in many hot fudge recipes and the sauce was still plenty thick. Due to the lack of corn syrup it is not super sweet which is our personal preference, the sugar added can be adjusted to taste.
But wait- in order to enjoy this sauce you’ll need to make some ice cream. Don’t have an ice cream maker? I’ve got you covered with this cool summer giveaway!!
